TO MY OWN GODS I GO

           Drama 2m/1 f

Running time - approx 25 minutes

After leading a secular life, Charles, decides to take Holy Orders. He seeks spiritual guidance from Grayson, his local priest and to whom he is attracted. On the eve of Charles' ordination, Grayson tells him that he is to be married. This acts as a catalyst, as Charles is now forced to confront his feelings for Grayson.

In the second scene, Charles has become a curate in a parish, carrying out, in a somewhat perfunctory manner, his ecclesiastical duties. It is the visit from a young, woman parishioner seeking advice, who inadvertently gives Charles the help and comfort that he needs in order to face his demons and come to terms with his sexuality.
